On offer is a range of holidays dotted around Europe.

Prices are highly competitive and, for those who like travelling with a group, this is the way to go.

Andrew & Ann, are very experienced in organising these holidays. OiR members who have already been lucky enough to participate in these holidays have all had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

In the past, Ann & Andrew have arranged a few 10 day holidays which have been greatly appreciated. For 2018, they have decided to have one holiday only abroad, which is partly due to the high demand for accommodation in Europe. This has been caused by the absence of Egypt, Tunisia & some of the Greek Islands as holiday resorts. They have found a hotel which TripAdvisor has given the highest excellent review that they have seen, and it sits in Istria, northern Croatia -with optional salings to Venice.

Due to the high demand for accommodation at this quality hotel, it would be appreciated if you can let Andrew know, as soon as possible, if you are interested in taking up this offer.  Please remember that your booking is not valid without obtaining a Ref. No. from your organiser which should be obtained before submitting your booking form.

DRYBURGH HOLIDAY 12-15 JUNE 2017  - Posted 19.06.17

Twenty-seven OiR Ayr members recently enjoyed a 4-day coach tour of The Scottish Borders. We were based in the Dryburgh Abbey Hotel, an excellent hotel just yards from Dryburgh Abbey and the beautiful River Tweed. We visited Halliwell's Museum and Sir Walter Scott's Court House in Selkirk, Mary, Queen of Scots', House in Jedburgh, Floors Castle in Kelso, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, and Manderston House in Duns.

In between these cultural visits, our inner selves were well catered for, as we enjoyed our first lunch stop in Peebles Hydro, a superb afternoon tea at "The Woll" Restaurant and Country Club, near Ashkirk, lunch in the Teviot "Smokery & Water Garden", afternoon tea in Floors Castle Tea Room, excellent coffee/tea and scones at "The Barn at Beal" in Northumberland - while looking across the North Sea to Lindisfarne - Holy Isle, lunch in the old kitchens of Manderston House, and a variety of Garden Centres and Woollen Mills for other "comfort stops".  There were two showery days and two sunny days - acceptable in a Scottish summer.

To Ann and Andrew Monaghan, we again put on record, our grateful thanks for their hard work, patience and friendship we all have experienced once again on this latest OiR holiday.
